Casting Call: Supporting roles
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — During the pre-production of Myittar (Unbroken Ties), the production team reached out to talented members of the Burmese American community for supporting roles in this meaningful U.S.–Myanmar co-production. Auditions were conducted across several U.S. cities, providing aspiring performers with opportunities to become part of the film while helping the production achieve a greater sense of authenticity and cultural connection. This thoughtful casting process reflected the team’s commitment to bringing together diverse voices, experiences, and talents from both countries in support of a shared creative vision.
Beyond its cinematic journey, Myittar was created in support of A Hope for All Orphans, carrying a humanitarian message centered on children living in orphanages and the challenges they may face. Through authentic representation, cross-cultural collaboration, and emotionally driven storytelling, the production seeks to inspire greater awareness, compassion, and hope while encouraging audiences to recognize the importance of care and opportunity in shaping a child’s future. The participation of Burmese American talents became a meaningful part of this mission, strengthening the connection between the film’s cultural roots and its broader message of humanity.
