Movie Survey Day 2 @ Thamada
YANGON, MYANMAR – Old is GOLD! The MP team proudly brought its nationwide survey questionnaire, “Myanmar Movie – Are They for Me?”, to Thamada, one of the oldest cinematic theaters in Southeast Asia, as part of the Movie for Charity initiative. The opportunity to conduct the survey at this historic venue marked a special moment for the project, particularly as the questionnaire was permitted and hosted at the theater for the first time. With its long-standing connection to Myanmar’s cinematic culture, Thamada provided a remarkable setting for engaging directly with moviegoers and inviting them to share their thoughts, preferences, and perspectives on Myanmar films.
The occasion represented a significant accomplishment for the entire team and added another memorable chapter to the nationwide survey campaign. Bringing the questionnaire to one of Myanmar’s largest and most recognizable theater venues allowed the project to connect with a broad audience while celebrating the country’s rich movie-going heritage. More than simply a survey location, Thamada became part of the story behind the Movie for Charity initiative, symbolizing the connection between Myanmar’s cinematic past and a new effort to explore the future of filmmaking while supporting a meaningful charitable cause.
