On February 7, 2026, the 67th Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards were held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Naypyidaw, bringing together the country’s leading filmmakers, actors, producers, and creative talents to celebrate the highest achievements in Myanmar cinema. On this prestigious national stage, Myittar (Unbroken Ties) was proud to stand among the four films nominated for Best Picture—a meaningful recognition following its international journey, where the film received 11 international film festival awards and recognitions.

The ceremony was organized with the participation of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization (MMPO), the country’s principal professional organization representing and supporting Myanmar’s motion picture industry and its creative community. The national celebration was attended by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, then Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission. For the Myittar team, being recognized among the country’s Best Picture nominees marked a proud homecoming and an important milestone—bringing a film that had earned recognition on the international festival circuit back to Myanmar’s most prestigious celebration of cinematic achievement.
